Drywall repair and texture matching in OKC

Oklahoma clay soil moves, houses settle, and drywall is where you see it. Cracks over doorways, popped nail heads, seams opening in the ceiling. The repair itself is easy; making it invisible is the part most people get wrong. We match orange peel, knockdown and hand-texture, then feather and prime so the patch does not flash through your paint.

How we handle it

Find the cause first

A crack that keeps coming back is a movement or moisture problem. We tell you what we see before we mud over it.

Texture matched on a sample board

We test the spray pattern off the wall first so the finished patch matches the room, not the last house we were in.

Dust controlled, floors covered

Plastic, drop cloths and a vacuum sander where it makes sense. You should not be cleaning drywall dust for a week.

Common questions

Can you really match my texture?
In almost every case, yes. Orange peel and knockdown are the most common in OKC homes and both match well. Heavy hand-textures from the 70s are the hardest, and if we can't blend it we will tell you up front and quote re-texturing the whole wall instead.
Do you paint after the repair?
We prime every patch. Painting the wall or room is an add-on and we will price it on the same estimate.
My cracks keep coming back. Why?
Usually foundation movement from Oklahoma's expansive clay. We can repair it properly with tape and a feathered float, but if the slab is still moving you may see it again. We will say so before you spend money.
How long does drywall repair take?
Most single-room repairs are one to two visits — mud needs to dry between coats. Small patches can often be finished same day.
