Before the freeze
Disconnect garden hoses, cover outdoor spigots, and insulate pipes in attics, crawl spaces and garages. Know where your main water shutoff is.
During the storm
Let faucets on exterior walls drip, open sink cabinet doors, and keep your thermostat at 55°F or higher, even if you're away.
If a pipe freezes or bursts
Shut off the main water, turn off the water heater, and call 405-405-PROS. Never thaw pipes with an open flame.
